Please, please, please... SUPPORT THE ARTS!

Please, please, please support the arts!  I see major organizations like Chicago Lyric Opera’s Orchestra going on strike and it is devastating.  Artists need to be respected and compensated equitably for the time that they spend on their work and for what they are worth.  I challenge you to support artists and organizations the best you can with your time and money today. In a world with so much technology, I fear we are losing touch of reality, human sensitivity and empathy and I am especially concerned for the future of our youth.  I believe that theatre, art, music and dance are pathways that lead us back to our humanity. I believe they will continue to teach us about ourselves and one another as long as we allow ourselves to be vulnerable. I believe the arts are the single most important gift we can provide future generations.
